For over 30 years, Robin J. Siegel, Esq., has focused her legal practice on corporate and regulatory health law. Robin has been the client as in-house legal counsel, as well as supported clients as outside legal counsel. Robin is well-acquainted with the day-to-day operational challenges of providing health care against the backdrop of the ever-changing regulatory landscape.
Before establishing her own law practice in 2015, Robin was General Counsel and Director of Privacy at University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc., a private, nonprofit organization serving the clinical practice groups affiliated with the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Prior to that, Robin was in private practice for 14 years with law firms in Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland, including 9 years with Gordon, Feinblatt in Baltimore, Maryland. She also worked as a paralegal for 2 years at Bond, Schoeneck and King in Syracuse, New York.
Robin is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Robin’s undergraduate degree is from Cornell University, in Ithaca, NY, and she attended law school at George Washington University, in Washington, DC. She is a former Chair of the
Maryland State Bar Association’s Health Law Section.
Robin has extensive experience advising clients on clinical research matters,
including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating
industry-sponsored clinical trial agreements,
informed consent documents,
investigator-initiated research agreements,
grant agreements,
confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements, and
other research collaboration agreements.
Robin has a deep knowledge of health privacy matters including drafting, reviewing,
and negotiating HIPAA business associate agreements and HIPAA authorizations,
